The position includes all the duties of coordinating the music, performing on the organ and keyboard, practicing and being prepared to play the liturgy, hymns, preludes, postludes and offertories. Accompany choir and special music as needed.
It includes playing two services on Sunday and includes Lenten midweek services, Holy Week services, Advent midweek services, Christmas services.
If you have experience as a choral director this will be a plus but not required to apply. St. Stephen has a new sanctuary with a digital organ - Allan ADC 6300, 3 manual drawknob console. The digital keyboard is a Kurzwell Mark 10 Ensemble Grand.
At this time the choir consists of some willing, returning choir members. We are also in the process of hiring a new pastor after the retirement of the previous one. |
