| Comments: | This program marked the 40th anniversary of the original dedication of the Austin organ by E. Power Biggs. John Cantrell's program included many 20th century composers, including his own transcriptions of piano works by Gershwin. Being well-grounded in piano technique, Mr. Cantrell played a jazz version 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' on the church's Steinway for an encore. |
